Gravy started his first data company from his college apartment (Auburn University - War Eagle!), and has started 8 more since then. A visionary data leader with extensive experience in diverse industries Gravy's data businesses have consistently delivered results across diverse industries including finance, pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, healthcare, logistics, wholesale and retail. Gravy's special talent is hiring people smarter than him, as his team can attest. Gravy is the "idea guy" behind The Data Group's core mission - helping our customers become data-driven! With the help of his church, Gravy coined our mantra "Own Your Data, Transform Your Data, Use Your Data" and is currently authoring a book explaining what all this means. Gravy loves God, Country, his wife Suzi, his daughter Hammy (yes, "Hammy Gravy"), his "boys" Scoobs and Taz, and data - in that order. When Gravy is not coming up with new data strategies for customers he's usually walking with Hammy, Scoobs and Taz.

Mark leads The Data Group’s data team - so he is pretty darn important. When he’s not leading our data strategy, Mark stays active with his local fire department and applies his EMS experience to serve on the safety team at church. With any “free time”, he almost always has a home project to keep him busy. His favorite activities include spending time with his wife, Katie, and his two daughters, Brenna and Aubrey. The Smith's love the outdoors - camping, hiking, and skiing in Colorado. Mark is obsessed with peanut butter. Years ago, while camping and roasting marshmallows, a friend introduced him to the idea of adding peanut butter to a s’more, and he has never eaten a s’more without peanut butter since.

Jeff Neuenschwander hails from Indianapolis, Indiana and leads our AWS infrastructure team. He earned a B.S. in Finance from Oral Roberts University, and a J.D., cum laude, from the IU Robert H. McKinney School of Law. Jeff is a true savant starting his tech career at 13 years old when he provided computer help desk service to people within biking distance of his house. Since then, Jeff has held a variety of positions in the legal, tech, and fintech worlds. Jeff just got engaged and in his spare time, Jeff and his fiance enjoy travelling, cycling, triathlons, and attending a local church. Despite Jeff’s preferred development languages of choice being python or rust, he still installs java on a daily basis, and advises that you don’t speak with him before the installation is complete.

Michael Hype has a deep passion for data and technology and leads the software development team for our ALPHA and FOXTROT platforms. ALPHA and FOXTROT are the foundation of The Data Group and make it possible for our customers to "Own their data, Transform their data and Use their data". Michael's strength is his uncanny ability to transform business problems into elegant solutions within ALPHA and FOXTROT. Michael not only leads The Data Groups platform development team but is also actively mentoring young entrepreneurs through his business accelerator. Outside of his entrepreneurial pursuits, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife Annie, his 1 year old son Maverick in a variety of adventures.
