Our privacy practices set forth here reflect The Data Group’s activity as a data controller. This Privacy Statement applies only to the thedatagroup.cloud websites (our “Website”) and does not apply to any Business Partners (as defined below); or to any other third parties, even if links to their websites are on our Website. We may ask you to provide Personal Information when you use our Website, attend a The Data Group event, or when you: use our websites or applications; request quotes, services, support, downloads, trials, whitepapers, training or information; place orders for products or services or register for events or webinars; create and manage an account; participate in surveys, sweepstakes or other promotional activities online or in any other venue; provide a testimonial; subscribe to newsletters, The Data Group programs, marketing and promotional emails or other materials; Interact with us on third party social networks (subject to that third party’s terms of use and privacy policies); or contact us.
We may collect information you choose to provide about you and your company, which may include your company name, your name, title, e-mail address, postal address, login ID, password, and telephone number. Forms that you choose to complete will indicate whether information requested is mandatory or voluntary. If you make a purchase, we may ask for your credit card number and billing information.
2. The information we automatically collect
We may automatically collect behavioral and usage information about your visits to our Website, including the pages you view, the links and advertisements you click, search terms you enter, and other actions you take in connection with our website and services. The Data Group services may be co-branded and offered in conjunction with another company. If you register for, or use, such services, both The Data Group and the other company may receive information collected in conjunction with the co-branded services and may use the information according to each company’s privacy statement and other agreements with you.
In connection with the provision of the Services, The Data Group collects information from the Services, and from the customer systems, applications and devices that are used to access our Services. Such information is used to facilitate the delivery of the Services to our customers (including managing and monitoring the infrastructure), providing support, and The Data Group’s own analytics and product improvement and development purposes. The data collected is generally technical information, with limited individually identifying information such as alphanumeric codes which reference your user, email address, IP address of the user’s device, and other identifiers (including cookies). Depending on the Service, the information may include the following types of data:
- Config Data: how you use the Services;
- Feature Use: how you interact with Services;
- Performance: info on how the Services are performing when used by you; and
- Service Logs: to record systems event, during the use Services.
3. Information from party sources
We may obtain information about you from third party sources such as public databases, our Business Partners, joint marketing partners, social media platforms, and from other third parties. Examples of the information we may receive from other sources include: page-view information from some Business Partners with which we operate co-branded services or joint offerings. 4. Information we process on behalf of our customers
In the course of using our products and services, The Data Group customers and their end-users may choose to integrate data that contains personal data of their individual customers. The information our customers and their end-users integrate through the The Data Group services is processed by The Data Group purely on behalf of the customer at the customer’s sole discretion and direction. The Data Group’s privacy practices for these instances of processing will be governed by the contract that we have in place with our customers, and not by this Privacy Statement.
The Data Group has no direct relationship with the individuals whose personal data it processes through our cloud- based services. If you have any questions or concerns about how such information is handled or would like to exercise your rights with respect to such data, you should in the first instance contact the person or entity (i.e. the data controller) who has contracted with The Data Group to use the The Data Group service to host or process this information (e.g. your employer). They control the personal information in these cases and determine the security settings within the account, its access controls and credentials. We will, however, provide assistance to our customers to address any concerns you may have or requests you make, in accordance with the terms of our contract with them.
5. How we use personal information
The Data Group may use your Personal Information to:
Deliver the products and support or carry out the transactions you have requested; Send communications to you, such as your transaction status (for example, order confirmations), information about products and services available from The Data Group and its corporate affiliates, event announcements, important product notices including those announcing changes to our terms or policies, promotional offers and surveys; Facilitate the use of our Website and communications from our Business Partners; Advertise and market The Data Group products and the products of our corporate affiliates by, for example, delivering targeted ads on this and other web sites, analyzing the effectiveness of ads, and determining whether you would be interested in receiving offers about new products or services; Administer, customize, personalize, analyze and improve our products, services (including the content and advertisements on our Website), technologies, communications and relationship with you; Enforce our conditions of sale, our Website terms and/or separate contracts (if applicable) with you; Prevent fraud and other prohibited or illegal activities; Protect the security or integrity of our Website, our business, or our products or services; or Perform other functions or serve other purposes, as disclosed to you at the point of collection or as required or permitted by law.

9. Special considerations for California residents
We do not “sell” your personal information to any Business Partners as currently defined under the California Consumer Protection Act.

Right to Know: you may have the right to request information about the personal information we have collected about you and for what purpose.
Right to Access: you may have the right to request information about how we process your personal information and to obtain a copy of that personal information.

Right to Deletion: you may have the right to request the deletion of your personal information that we have collected from you.

10 Special considerations in connection with Google Oauth and Google API Workspaces
To the extent that you use The Data Group Services within any Google integration endpoint, Google user data (if any) and Google Workspace APIs shall not be used for developing, improving, or training AI and/or ML models. The Data Group Services will not transfer your data to any third-party AI tools, and the transfer is not for training of generalized/ non-personalized AI/ML models.
11. Selecting your communication preferences & accessing your personal information
You may choose to receive or not receive marketing communications from The Data Group by indicating your preferences. Opportunities to select your preferences include the following:
You can click “unsubscribe” in any marketing email communications we send you, or
You can adapt your cookie settings as described above;

Please allow up to 10 business days for your email preferences and any updates of your Personal Information to take effect. The Data Group takes children’s privacy seriously. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children through our Website.
