Amazon Business announced new technology features Tuesday aimed at simplifying procurement for large organizations.

The company introduced the Amazon Business App Center, a hub where customers can connect their accounts with over 25 third-party applications. The new System for Cross-domain Identity Management automatically syncs user data from an organization's identity provider with their Amazon Business account.

Updates to existing tools include enhanced Budget Management capabilities, allowing customers to set spending thresholds and track budgets in real-time. The Guided Buying feature now offers a toolbar for administrators to prefer sustainable products and manage employee spending.

Amazon Business also launched Integrated Quoting, enabling customers to generate custom quotes for bulk orders through third-party platforms.

These technologies are designed to address challenges faced by procurement teams. Recent research by Amazon Business found that 49% of U.S. respondents cited complex systems and multi-step processes as major hurdles to efficiency.

Shelley Salomon, worldwide vice president of Amazon Business, said, "Amazon Business wants to change how companies shop for supplies through our unmatched selection, deep discounts, and smart capabilities. We don't just react to the biggest challenges our customers have shared with us; we get ahead of them with new technologies so our customers can use their resources to navigate the unexpected and continue expanding their business."

Since its 2015 U.S. launch, Amazon Business has expanded to 10 countries, serving over 6 million customers worldwide. The service drives approximately $35 billion in annualized gross sales and counts 96 of the Fortune 100, 66 of the FTSE 100, and 37 of the DAX-40 companies among its clients.

The new features are available to business customers in Canada, France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
