Pure Storage, a data storage technology company, announced new cybersecurity services and capabilities Tuesday aimed at helping enterprises combat the growing threat of ransomware attacks.
The company unveiled three new advanced Storage as-a-Service (STaaS) service-level agreements (SLAs) for its platform, including cyber recovery and resilience, and site rebalance options.
Pure Storage's enhanced Cyber Recovery and Resilience SLA now covers disaster recovery scenarios in addition to ransomware recovery. The service provides a customized recovery plan, ships clean infrastructure within a defined timeframe, and offers onsite installation and data transfer assistance.
A new Security Assessment tool gives organizations visibility into fleet-level security risks and offers recommendations to improve cyber resilience. The assessment provides numerical scores to benchmark security posture and delivers best practices aligned with NIST 2.0 standards.
The company also introduced an AI-powered anomaly detection enhancement to identify threats such as ransomware attacks, unusual activity, and denial of service attacks through performance anomalies.
To provide greater flexibility, Pure Storage added a Site Rebalance SLA allowing customers to adjust existing reserve commitments as storage requirements change.
These updates come as cybercriminals increasingly leverage AI to enhance the frequency and impact of attacks, particularly ransomware.
"As Pure Storage continues to revolutionize enterprise data storage, our mission remains: to provide a simple, flexible, and resilient as-a-service storage platform that not only addresses current data and storage management needs, but mitigates future risk and uncertainty," said Prakash Darji, GM of Digital Experience at Pure Storage.
The new offerings are available immediately as part of Pure Storage's Evergreen//One subscription service.
