Amazon Web Services and Workday announced an expanded partnership Thursday aimed at developing generative artificial intelligence capabilities and accelerating cloud transformation for customers.
The collaboration between AWS, Amazon's cloud computing division, and Workday, a provider of enterprise cloud applications for finance and human resources, will focus on building AI tools, simplifying custom application development and investing in joint go-to-market initiatives.
Workday plans to leverage AWS technologies like Amazon Bedrock and Amazon SageMaker JumpStart to create AI-powered features for workforce and financial management. These include tools to generate job descriptions, analyze contracts and create personalized employee talent highlights.
The partnership will also expand native integrations between the two platforms, allowing developers to use AWS services to build custom applications within Workday's ecosystem.
"This expanded partnership combines the power of Workday AI and AWS to deliver AI features to our customers faster and more efficiently," said Shane Luke, vice president of product and engineering and head of AI and ML at Workday.
As part of the agreement, the companies will invest in joint sales and marketing efforts to accelerate customer acquisition and raise awareness of Workday's availability on the AWS Marketplace.
The collaboration aims to help organizations increase productivity, improve talent management and streamline business processes through enhanced AI capabilities and cloud-based solutions.
