DataCore Software, a leader in storage technologies for over two decades, announced Monday the launch of DataCore Single Node Swarm, aiming to transform edge data management for today's IT organizations.
The new offering addresses growing demand for local data storage, processing and protection at smaller sites and remote offices away from central data centers. It combines container technology from DataCore's acquisition of MayaData with the company's object storage platform.

The simplified, cost-efficient platform optimizes operations, growth and competitive advantage across sectors like healthcare, financial services, retail, education, logistics, media/entertainment and research.
In healthcare, it enables medical data storage/access at remote and mobile facilities. Financial firms can use it for archiving and long-term data preservation at branches. Retailers benefit from on-site inventory and sales records management.
Colleges can support remote campus data management and content delivery. Logistics providers can store and protect documents across decentralized networks. Media companies gain local access to production assets. And research organizations can secure data at remote sites.
