Pure Storage recognized seven customers for their innovative use of its data storage technology at the company's annual Pure//Accelerate conference on Friday.
The fourth annual Pure Storage Breakthrough Awards highlighted customers across five categories: Greatest of All Time (G.O.A.T.), Cloud Champion, Data Warrior, Visionary, and Pure Good Sustainability.
NTT DATA, THG, and SoftBank Corp. received G.O.A.T. awards for North America, EMEA, and APJ regions respectively. NTT DATA leveraged Pure Storage to enhance its cloud and AI infrastructure, processing up to 400 TB of data daily while reducing energy costs by 50%.
Rivian Automotive won Cloud Champion for using Portworx by Pure Storage to accelerate development and improve system performance in its electric vehicle production.
MediaZen earned Data Warrior recognition for building a high-powered R&D platform that reduced AI modeling tasks from one year to two weeks.
Fiserv received the Pure Good Sustainability award for achieving a 75% reduction in block storage rack space and 73% lower power and cooling costs using Pure Storage technology.
The Indiana Office of Technology was named Visionary for implementing a consolidated data storage platform that supports 90% of the state's IT infrastructure, reducing maintenance time by up to 70%.
"Everything that's mission critical runs on Pure Storage, and it's so simple and easy to work with that we don't even need a dedicated storage engineer," said Schalk Van Der Merwe, CTO of THG.
The awards program, now in its fourth year, recognizes outstanding achievements among Pure Storage's more than 12,500 global customers. Winners were announced during the Pure//Accelerate 2024 conference in Las Vegas.
