Data analytics company Teradata announced Tuesday it will offer its VantageCloud Lake platform on Google Cloud, aiming to accelerate enterprise adoption of artificial intelligence.
The collaboration integrates Teradata's ClearScape Analytics with Google Cloud's Vertex AI platform and Gemini models, providing businesses with tools to develop and deploy AI solutions more efficiently.
VantageCloud Lake, described as a comprehensive cloud analytics and data platform for AI, will now leverage Google Cloud's AI technologies to support various AI applications, from predictive analytics to generative AI use cases.
The partnership addresses common challenges in AI implementation, including difficulties in scaling projects to production and concerns over intellectual property control. By combining their technologies, Teradata and Google Cloud aim to offer a secure, transparent, and high-performance solution for enterprise-scale AI deployment.

One example of the partnership's potential is the Teradata Customer Complaint Analyzer, which uses Gemini models to analyze both text and audio customer complaints, providing more comprehensive insights than traditional text-only methods.
The integration also allows organizations to store vectors generated by Gemini models in VantageCloud Lake, enabling them to combine these with production data for innovative generative AI applications.
Teradata's VantageCloud Lake on Google Cloud is designed to provide a well-governed, cost-effective foundation for AI initiatives, minimizing data preparation time and accelerating time-to-value for enterprises.
